Streetlife / Tony "The Eskie" Winyard
Tony started DJ'ing at a very young age (as this photo will testify!), and has been a full-time professional DJ since the 80's, which included working in nightclubs in many countries around the globe over a 12 year period and 8 of those years he was also presenting radio shows.

He is the owner of an enormous record/CD collection, covering every genre of music from the 20's to the latest tracks and everything in between (search through the music collection here) and picked up music from all the countries he worked in. Tony also has a very impressive music knowledge covering a vast range of music genre's that very few DJs are able to match.

Tony is able to mix to a very high standard from the many years he spent DJ'ing in night-clubs and there are few DJs in the world able to match his music programming skills and ability to read a crowd of any age or culture.

He has performed at over 1,000 weddings and also amassed a vast experience of society/black-tie balls and corporate entertainment.



History of Streetlife
Streetlife mobile disco was first established by Tony in the 80's and in the early days played at a wide variety of events mainly around north-west London. Tony took a rest from mobile disco's for a few years when club DJ'ing but resurrected Streetlife in Jakarta, Indonesia due to mobile disco's being an almost alien concept over there but huge demand for them from the many foreign embassies and huge expatriate community.

Tony returned to the UK in 1998 and again setup Streetlife but this time on a much grander scale concentrating mainly on weddings and corporate events and travelling around the UK rather than just working locally as in Streetlife's early years. Tony has now worked at almost all of the prestigious hotels/venues in central London and many castles, stately homes and other venues all around the south of England plus a few from further a field.



Future Goals
In 2005 Tony setup an entertainment company named Euan Anthony Ltd together with a business partner. One of the reasons for the new company was due to constant enquiries for Tony's services on dates on which he was already booked. Due to his many years in the business he has an excellent network of DJs and other entertainers.

Streetlife will continue for many years yet though as Tony still enjoys DJ'ing immensely although these days he can be afford to be far more choosy about the types of work he does and rarely works at bars, christenings, kids parties etc and prefers to do functions that are more of a challenge and where his DJ experience is more appreciated.

Why "The Eskie"?

Tony has been known as The Eskie for over 20 years due to his seeming resistance to cold weather and hence a few friends joked that he must be an Eskimo!
