I
love music and have an absolutely huge record & CD
collection, covering a vast range of music.
Music
has played a major part in my whole life. When I was
growing up my mum was always playing Elvis Presley & rock
n roll, while my much older brother blared out Rock.
I've been into many different styles of music; the earliest
I can remember was glam, then it was punk and new wave,
that led me into 2-tone, which made me curious about
ska and old reggae, which in turn bought me full circle
into the latest reggae at the time. During this period
I was also getting very deeply into soul & funk,
and by the late 80's/early 90's I was very much into
the acid-jazz scene. More recently I have been buying
a lot of modern-soul, R&B and funky house as well
keeping up with the latest chart hits.
Apart from these genres I also have a very good knowledge of Rap, Indie,
Rock, Jazz and old RnB/Rock n Roll from the 50's & 60's. I take over
10,000 tracks with me to most gigs that I do, so that I'm able to select
suitable music no matter what the audience are in to, and also able to
cater for the vast majority of requests that I receive.
I've
worked in many different types of clubs; a jazz club
in Switzerland, where I was playing mainly jazz, blues
and RnB. An underground club in Norway where Indie and
rock was very popular, a soul club where the grooves
were strictly soul and funk and many clubs where I've
played mainly disco, house & garage, and yet I've
also done 60th birthday parties and played all the old
cockney kneesup stuff! It's no exaggeration to say, that
there are few DJs on this planet who are able to match
my music knowledge and/or my vast collection of music.
Another
section on this site is called Number
1's, which takes you to a listing of every single
to reach the number 1 spot in the UK pop charts since
the charts began in 1952. This may help you to select
a track from the day you were born, day you were married
etc. or you can search through my collection by clicking
on Music
Search this will enable you to choose a request list
for your function and many other features to be found
there also.
Soul nights are a speciality that I can very ably cater for; a function
where the host requires Soul, Jazz-Funk, Rare Groove, Funk, Modern-Soul,
R&B
etc.
Other 'Speciality' nights that I am able to comfortably handle are: Reggae
| 2-tone/Ska | Acid-jazz | Rock | Cockney/MusicHall | Old Skool House & Chicago
House | Motown | Rock N Roll | Indie | 60's | 70's | 80's, plus as mentioned above R&B/Soul
from any era.

[All titles are stored on a computer database,
ensuring requests can be found swiftly]
Music
search (use this link to search through
my music collection and produce your own request
list. You can search for tracks by artist or song
name. Beside each track name will display 3 buttons:
clicking the 1st button will add the song to the "Must Play" list,
clicking the 2nd button will add the song to the "Play if possible" list
and clicking the 3rd button will add to the "Do not play" list.
So as you can see by using this facility you can
clearly give me an idea of exactly what types of
music you want and don't want. You're also able to
include a note next to each song, for example you
may write "1st
dance" or "any tracks by this artist" or "none of
this type of music" etc.
Please
note that this database is only updated a couple of times
a year, so will therefore sometimes
be out of date by a few months, thus not showing
recent releases. It does not mean though, that I do not
have the latest releases.
